A while back I posted something incredibly insightful, direct and witty regarding "ransomware". This new crop of spyware that snags your computer and then keeps at you until you finally, in a fit of remorse buy a 50 or 60 dollar "subscription". If you don't it will encrypt your files and make your life generally miserable.
You never saw that post because, quite frankly, blogger was being pissy.
Oh well.

Oh and before you go pay the ransom, you may be able to find a decryption tool on the nets somewhere. According to the Slashdot article (look it up yourself--it fell off the main page and I'm lazy) the encryption scheme this jerk(s?) used was incredibly weak. He probably wrote it himself so he could appear OMGL33T.
